Temporary Relief & Counseling Center (TRCC) is a faith-based, community-centered outreach ministry serving individuals and families in Danville and Pittsylvania County, Virginia who are experiencing homelessness, housing instability, food insecurity, unemployment, and crisis situations. TRCC exists to meet immediate needs while helping people move toward stability, dignity, and self-sufficiency through holistic support and strong community partnerships.
To provide compassionate, practical, and temporary relief services while empowering individuals and families to regain stability, hope, and independence.
TRCC serves hundreds of individuals annually through food distribution, emergency assistance, shelter access, and housing and employment support. The organization also hosts major community events including the Annual Community Cookout, Community Thanksgiving Dinner, and Christmas Eve Community Meal, strengthening community connection and outreach.
TRCC is led by Rev. Dr. Willis J. Ferrell, Ph.D. Pastor and Executive Director, alongside dedicated volunteers and community partners committed to compassionate service and transformational impact.
